Pokemon is a popular Japanese anime that started airing in the US in the early 90's. The show is coupled with video games for many different counsels. Pokemon has captured the hearts of many, and to this day, new episodes and games are still being made. It has become such a huge fandom, and many of the original fans are still loyal to the franchise. I created a publication for the young adults who still have a love for Pokemon. It's filled with stories from fans, and tons of nostalgia!
I conducted online surveys to hear from other young adults who are or have been fans of Pokemon. I also interviewed family members who had memories of the fandom, as well as Pokemon cosplayers at the popular Detroit anime convention Youmacon. All the responses I collected are included in the publication.
